The cost is my concern, i really want to join so i can look great on my wedding day. But not sure oif possible

  • helen at jenny craig15 March 2011 at 07:11

    Hi Deborah

If you call this month we've got 25% off membership and a week's free food, so that will help bring the cost down.

I know it's a commitment, but when you put it in context that the average yo yo dieter spends £25k over their lifetime on diets that don't work..!

  • Emily Chizhande20 March 2011 at 04:13

how much is it to join the programme

  • Lesley22 March 2011 at 11:28

What about allergies as I have a problem with Milk, soft cheese, soya in fact if I listed all my food allergies it would take up the box. Can the diet be adjusted to suit me ?

  • helen at jenny craig23 March 2011 at 12:16

    Hi Lesley

It shouldn't be a problem, we can deal with most allergies apart from nuts, especially as clients add their own fresh dairy.

If you give one of our consultants a call they can run through the menu with you and personalise accordingly.

  • helen at jenny craig23 March 2011 at 12:17

It's under ten pounds a day for all your food and consultations. If you call in March we're offering a week for free AND 25% off membership, so hurry!

  • linda west24 March 2011 at 14:55

i never eat every day, there are times when i go 1 week on just water. I get fatter and fatter

  • elissa26 March 2011 at 14:59

did you have weeks where you don't lose?

  • Ralph Abegha31 March 2011 at 07:48

Can I be a member if I have no weight challenges?

  • Helen from Jenny Craig31 March 2011 at 10:06

Elissa, hi, yes people can plateau as their body adjusts to the programme. If you click on Cheryl's weight loss scales it shows how her weight progressed week by week and there were some plateaus eg when she went on holiday. But she kept the faith, and got there!

Ralph - yes, some people do find it's a way of getting a convenient and nutritious diet even if you just want to maintain your weight. There are various calorie levels ranging from 1200 to 2300 depending on where you are. If you call one of our consultants they can discuss the right option with you.

how would I cope with this when I have a husband who loves his food? Also, are you allowed veg and fruit as well as the diet. How long do you recommend the diet and what is the total cost?

  • catherine10 April 2011 at 13:27

how much is it to join the program and are the meals ready made, can you have a trial offer for just a week to see if the program is for you

  • yvonne12 April 2011 at 09:05

Cheryl seems to of plateaued ALOT, its a lot of money to pay if thats going to happen!

  • Helen from Jenny Craig13 April 2011 at 09:28

Susan, it's around ten pounds a day for all your food and consultations (depending which foods you order) and then there are various membership options. We're running 25% off at the moment!

Yvonne, yes, she had plateaus which you get on any diet as your body adjusts, plus she had various life events including a bereavement...but she got through, and hit her goal weight, a lot of which was due to the skill and care of her consultant. You can read Dr Ian's blog about why plateaus happen.

  • Helen from Jenny Craig13 April 2011 at 09:33

Mary, yes, you add your fresh fruit and vegetables - we'll give you a list of 'free foods' of which you can eat unlimited amounts. In terms of having a food loving husband, well, all our foods are 'normal', they're not classic diet products, so you may well find he likes it too! What a lot of our clients do is share any veg they're making, and then their partner can have their own main course.

Catherine, yes, the meals are all ready made so you just reheat in the microwave. We do a 28 day trial so you could see how you get on with the food and consultations.

  • Kate18 April 2011 at 04:55

I have been with Jenny Craig for a couple of months now. I have been really happy with my level of weight loss although I do have concerns about the food. There are a lot of meat products which I won't eat from ready meals and having mainly vegetarian choices has been really limiting. I was getting by until my last food order when many of the lunches and some of the few dinners I enjoyed have been discontinued. I have been told that you have changed food distributers. I'm really sorry to say that I'm not looking forward to the food in the month ahead as I know due to the limited choices many of my days will be the same day in and day out. I am hoping that come next month you will have more new options to choose from to keep my program varied or I'm afraid I will begin to stray - and that's a problem weight wise as well as money wise.

  • Helen at Jenny Craig26 April 2011 at 08:47

Kate, am really sorry to read this. We did have an issue with one of our suppliers so have changed. Rest assured there are new and better foods on their way! Do you eat fish? Have you tried any of the new salad lunches? If you have any other suggestions for different meals pop them this week - we're working on ten new dishes at the moment as we do understand how important variety is.

  • elissa08 June 2011 at 12:03

when will the new foods be coming? the Us version seems to have a lot more range of food.
plus when will the forum be online?
sorry for all of the questions

  • Sam from Jenny Craig08 June 2011 at 12:17

Hello Elissa - we introduced a range of new foods very recently and are always looking to increase the range. Let us know if there's anything in particular you'd like to see included. And we are working on the online forum right now so watch this space!

  • maris williamson24 June 2011 at 02:58

I am keen to try the 28 day trial, have tried all diet classes going and lose some but always seem to become demotivated and its too easy not to go to class but am bit apprehensive trying yet another diet

  • Sue Fox30 June 2011 at 09:29

How much is it to join and for the food? I need to work out costs before I decide whether to go ahead.

  • Tina Drewry17 July 2011 at 16:09

I am vegatarian, I can eat eggs and cheese, just nothing that has been a body!!! I also love my food a great deal, and feel sick if i am too hungary... couls you please tell me if you have a trial week and how much it al costs, please?

  • Sophia from Jenny Craig20 July 2011 at 07:14

Hi Tina, we can certainly cater for vegetarians! Unlike other diets out there, you don't need to starve yourself with Jenny Craig - it's about balance and portion control, which our complete meal plans allow for and your personal consultant can help you to achieve. We don't offer a trial week currently but if you give one of our Programme Directors a call on the number above, they will be happy to discuss options with you without any obligation to buy. I hope that helps!
