how would we deal with not haveing a microwave at work
Maggs12 September 2010 at 12:33
Cheryl looks attractive and has a nice face. I 'checked' on her wikipedia and learnt that she is 56 years old. I read somewhere that when you are in your 50s, diet takes a lot of stain on your body and in particular, on your face. How do we not know that Cheryl will reach her goal, have a great figure and still retain the 'youthfulness' of her face?

i work 12 hour shifts from 6am until 5.30pm im putting weight on as im eating more n more food crisp chocolate n yes a salad n mackerel for dinner n still hungry,im 46years old and need to loose around 1stone as i weight 10st 2lb im on my feet all day long, by the time i get home i to tired to do anything.
Helen from Jenny Craig13 September 2010 at 15:33
Campaign for one! Seriously though, a lot of the lunches can be made with a kettle of boiling water eg the Thai noodles which are Cheryl's fave, couscous etc. In terms of breakfasts, you get cereals, so no cooking required, and then also snacks like chocolate cereal bars and paprika potato crisps to keep you going through the day.
Helen from Jenny Craig13 September 2010 at 15:38
Hi Maggs. This is something we've been discussing with Cheryl and it's one of the reasons she was attracted to Jenny Craig. I agree that the rapid crash diets can leave you looking, well, a little bit 'scraggly'. But our programme offers sensible, healthy, sustained weight loss, so your body has time to get used to it. That being said, Cheryl is very keen not to lose a ridiculous amount of weight for precisely that reason. And we all think her target of 9st 6lbs for a 56 year old (well, for most people!) is pretty impressive!
Maria - you poor thing! Busy-ness can sometimes be a key factor in weight gain as we tell ourselves we don't have the time to eat properly. Which is why so many of our clients, including Cheryl, are finding Jenny Craig a godsend as it's so quick and easy. Your breakfasts and snacks require no preparation or cooking. Lunch and dinner are either the kettle for some, or 3 mins in the micro for the others. We also recently did a survey of our clients and got really good results in terms of people not feeling hungry or tired, and actually feeling pleasantly full.
Juiette Coates13 September 2010 at 22:53
Hi I wonder if you have several snack bars in the house are you ever tempted to eat more than you should in any one day.
Joanne Bull14 September 2010 at 17:06
Do you feel hungry and tired at all?
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Underactive Thyroid, Vitamins B12 & D deficiencies (injections & on medication) if I also felt really hungry and tired this would further stress me out.
Are there other clients who have health problems on your programme? By the way I am almost 54.
Thanks
LiillianLiveracos14 September 2010 at 18:06
I am concerned that the Jenny Craig meals will not give me the vitamins and minerals I need. alot of diet and low fat food is packed with sugar and salt for flavour. I want to loose weight but dont want my skin or digestion to suffer as a result.
Susan Spelman16 September 2010 at 09:12
I am very interested in starting the programme but firstly would like to know the cost per week as I am not working so would like to know that I can afford to be able to start it and continue till I have lost the weight. I am 57 and weigh 12 stone and am 5feet 5 inches tall
Louise from Jenny Craig16 September 2010 at 13:14
Joanne, I'd give us a call and we can discuss. We do have clients with medical issues and can work around lots of them although sometimes we need your doctor's approval.
Lillian, the meals are nutritionally balanced in terms of vitamins and minerals, and are low in sodium and sugar. Lots of our clients actually notice real improvement in the appearance of their skin.
Susan, the cost varies by individual depending whether you get just food, consulting or both, membership, and length on the programme, but our typical clients spends under ten pounds a day.
Juliette, Cheryl has had the opposite problem as her family keep stealing the snacks! The main thing is though that our clients don't have problems with hunger pangs - we've just done a survey and the vast majority said they felt full all the time - so that temptation is removed.

how much does itr all cost
Louise from Jenny Craig20 September 2010 at 21:27
Hi Stacey
The price varies depending on whether you take just food/consulting/both, membership and how long you need to be on it (which tallies with how much weight you need to lose)...but on average our clients spend under ten pounds a day. And bare in mind that's your food, your coach...and your happness :)
Give us a shout and we can do a quote for you based on your circumstances.

The best diet around is SLIMMING WORLD , Ive lost 2.5st in 8 weeks with little or no effort, amazing
Louise from Jenny Craig23 September 2010 at 08:28
Hi Gary (or Richard, you left two names!)
Really pleased Slimming World has worked for you though I'm a wee bit worried how quickly you've lost it! Most of our clients, like Cheryl, have tried anything and everything under the sun. And yes, they've lost the weight, because they've simply been consuming less calories than they expend...but then when the diet's over, the weight comes back on and then some! Anyone can diet; at Jenny Craig we're about taking you to eating school, working with your consultant to understand the underlying issues, and changing lives, for good.
But keep up the work, sounds like you're doing brilliantly. I really hope it lasts for you; if it doesn't, give us a shout.

Wendy/Roselyn - it's under ten pounds a day for all your food and consultation, and then there's membership depending how much you need to lose and how long therefore you need to be on the programme. All the costs are set out in the FAQs section of the site. If you call then one of the consultants can talk you through exactly how much it would work out at for you.

It's under ten pounds a day to cover both all your food and consultations. There's then a membership fee depending on how much weight you want to lose and therefore how long you need to be on the programme. Full details are in the FAQs section of the site.

hello, I would like to get nto the programme, I a wondering if you cover Germany or have a branch here, as its where I live.
Helen from Jenny Craig13 October 2010 at 07:48
Hi Irene
We're actually looking at Germany for late next year! In the meantime, we're exploring how we can send food from the UK to the continent (eg to cover when people go on holiday to Spain in the summer) and how we can still do the consultations on the freephone number...I think we should have it sorted within the month, so maybe you could give us a call after the October break and we can see what we can do?
Helen from Jenny Craig13 October 2010 at 08:05
Megan, hi, Cheryl lost 18lbs in 11 weeks. She's got another 8lbs to go till her goal weight, so we're all rooting for her! If you look at the little scales on the right hand side of this page you can click on it to see what happened each week she's been on the programme.
Milly, a typical day would be porridge for breakfast, chocolate cereal bar as a morning snack, Thai noodles for lunch, fruit in the afternoon, and then lamb hotpot for dinner, with veg. Click on the 'food' tab and you can see all the choices available. It's normal food! No shakes, no counting, no pills. Cheryl has said in a few of her webcams just how 'normal' it is - she doesn't feel deprived, she says the Thai dishes are as nice as what you'd get in a restaurant! We've got more new products on the way too - prawn korma, asparagus, bacon and white wine risotto, pancakes are in the pipeline too!
david higgins16 October 2010 at 17:14
hi,is this diet plan for females only or for guys too
Helen from Jenny Craig18 October 2010 at 16:22
Hi David
Yes, it's more than suitable for men. No single cracker for breakfast here! Our food is all 'normal' in fact a lot of it is of the distinctly hearty variety, so lamb hotpot, chicken curry, even porridge for breakfast. We've got a lot of male clients who're doing brilliantly. In fact Jason Alexander who plays George in Seinfeld has just lost 30lbs - you can see his story on our US site jennycraig.com.
Cheryl's husband Steve has also been doing the programme and has lost a stone so far.

sonja01 January 2011 at 23:34
I phoned the 0800 number after seeing the advert. Guy told me the membership for Jan was £95.00 but would revert backto £190 in Feb. When I said I would like to work out the total cost and would like to start after I have been in hospital this month he said if I phoned back the membership would be £190,00 I said if I phone back in Jan surely it should be £95.00 as it went to £190.00 in Feb he accused me of being confromtational. Would appreciate clarification please?
