When teacher Rob Kellner from Berkshire noticed that his clothes were getting tight and that he didn’t like what he saw in the mirror, he realized the time had come to tackle his weight gain.
Though American-born Rob wasn’t extremely overweight, he was still feeling lethargic and his confidence levels were low.
“I was a little over two stone overweight, but it was enough to make me feel uncomfortable,” says Rob. “I was already wearing size 36” waist trousers and these were starting to feel tight, so I knew it was time to take action.”
American Rob had already heard of Jenny Craig as it’s a major weight loss brand in the US.
“Everyone in the States knows about Jenny Craig as it’s one of the most popular diet programmes there. My sister-in-law who lives in Dallas had great success on Jenny Craig so I was delighted to hear it was available in the UK.
Jen has made me much more conscious of the food I’m eating and its effects on me both mentally and physically. I really do feel totally in control of my eating now.
“The initial call to Jenny Craig answered all my questions. The plan seemed just as suitable men as women and the fact that the food was delivered to my home really appealed.
“As I began to follow the Programme, two things became clear. Firstly, the food was really and filling. Secondly, my weight loss was regular and steady – just as my consultant Jen promised it would be – so the diet was very easy to stick to because I felt motivated week by what I saw on the scales.”
Rob credits Jen for keeping his motivation levels up and making the diet far easier to stick to he expected.
“Jen really did keep me on track and I came to look forward to our weekly consultations. In addition, she really celebrated each weekly weight loss with me, which of course kept me for the week ahead.
Overall, I feel more confident, more energetic and more active. The difference really is amazing!

Just a few months later, Rob had shed just over 2 stone - and 4 inches from around his waist. And just as importantly, he’s learnt positive eating habits for life.
